How it works
On the day, the photographer is just another visitor on site. He captures the question, the answer and the minutes that follow, with the glacier behind you. Your partner only finds out afterwards.
The photos are taken by Luis Acharez or by a professional photographer from his team, trained by him and licensed by the National Parks Administration.
Two ways to do it
On the walkways
You reach the Park on your own or with your excursion, and the proposal happens at the spot we pick together. The simplest, most discreet option.
Out on the ice
The proposal happens during the trek on the glacier. There are two ways:
Full service: private transfer, trek and photography, on request. Operated by ON Patagonia Adventures.
On your own: you book the trek and we guide you over WhatsApp to arrange everything.
How we keep it secret
- You write to us on WhatsApp with the tentative date and where you want it.
- Together we settle the spot, the time and the signal.
- On the day, we are in position before you arrive.
- You get your edited photos, digitally, in under 24 hours.
All the arranging is with you alone, over WhatsApp.
What is included and what is not
Included
- arranging it beforehand over WhatsApp;
- photographic coverage of the proposal;
- edited digital photos, delivered in under 24 hours.
Not included, except in the full service
- entry to Los Glaciares National Park;
- transfers;
- the excursion or trek on the ice.
If the weather turns
The glacier is just as striking under cloud or drizzle, and a dramatic sky usually beats a clear one. We only call it off in extreme weather; if that happens, we sort it out together on WhatsApp.

Will my partner notice?
All the arranging happens on WhatsApp, with you alone. On the day, the photographer is just another visitor on site.
Do I have to book an excursion?
Not for the walkways: you arrive on your own or with your excursion. To do it on the ice, yes, the trek is needed. Book it all with us, or on your own.
Who takes the photos?
Luis Acharez or a professional photographer from his team, trained by him and licensed by the National Parks Administration.
When do I get the photos?
In under 24 hours, in digital format.
What languages do you work in?
We coordinate in Spanish, Portuguese and French, with working English.
Who invoices?
Luis Acharez invoices the photography. If you choose the full service with transfer and trek, ON Patagonia Adventures operates and invoices it (EVyT Leg. 19642).
